Club House Rental Information
Welcome to the Mill Point Shore Clubhouse. The Mill Point Improvement Association (MPIA) Board and Clubhouse Manager are here to assist you with making your event a very special and memorable occasion. We have spacious rooms, large kitchen, patio and a pier overlooking the beautiful Wicomico River. Attached are the Clubhouse Rules and Regulations and the Reservation Application Form. Below you will find several helpful tips that will make your event go smoothly and ensure a full refund of your security deposit.
- Review all documents carefully.
- If you are planning the event in conjunction with event planners or caterers, it is the Renters’ responsibility to make sure that they have a copy of the Rules and Regulations and any other pertinent information (directions, address, etc.)
- Review all timelines in this document for payment and security deposit, rental fees, and refund policies for monies paid due to cancellations.
Thank you for selecting the Clubhouse to host your event. Our goal is to always provide the renters with excellent service. Your knowledge of and adherence to the Rental Procedures is essential.
Rental Rules and Regulations
The Mill Point Shore Clubhouse is for the exclusive use and enjoyment of property owners’ who are financial current. The clubhouse shall be used only for private, recreational, or non-commercial events. Failure to adhere to these rules will result in the loss of future rental privileges.
- Renters of the Clubhouse must be age twenty-one (21) or older.
- Renters who signs the rental agreement is responsible for assuring that events for persons younger than twenty-one (21) will be chaperoned during the entirety of the event. No exceptions.
- Renters are responsible for all paper goods, trash bags, cooking utensils, and etc.
- Renters are responsible for removing all trash, food, and personal property from the Clubhouse and grounds at the conclusion of their event.
- Renters are responsible for set-up of tables and chairs and returning the tables and chairs to their originally stored area at the conclusion of the rental.
- All round tables are to be used inside the clubhouse only. They are not permitted for outside usage.
- Renters are responsible for ensuring the safety and security of their guest, Clubhouse facilities and properties. All children under age 13 must wear a personal flotation device while on pier.
- Renters are responsible for directing their guest to use the designated clubhouse parking area (except for temporary loading/unloading), which is located across from the clubhouse.
- Fishing is only permitted with a valid fishing license.
- Renters agree to have any golf carts used on MPIA common roads and areas, comply with MPIA rules and regulations ARTICLE XI-SECTION VI pertaining to golf carts which includes a one-time fee of one dollar (per cart) for a one-day golf cart registration.
Below are activities that are not permitted when using the clubhouse:
- No smoking inside the Clubhouse.
- Do not tape, tack, nail, or put anything on the walls that may cause damage to the walls.
- Do not park on the Clubhouse lawn or along the street blocking any driveway.
- No diving from the pier and swimming at the Clubhouse pier.
- No loud music or misconduct (i.e. abusive language or profanity of any type) in area surrounding the clubhouse and clubhouse parking lot.
- Do not pull the fire alarm causing a false alarm.
The MPIA Board has the right to revoke the rental privileges to all renters’ who fail to adhere to all of these rules and regulations.
Reservations are taken on a first-come, first-served basis, and are not final until all monies due (security deposit and rental fees) are paid in full with a completed application.
Event/Use Time
The Clubhouse may be reserved for the following times:
Thursday – Sunday, & Holidays Anytime between 8:00 AM and 2:00 A.M.
Renters are entitled to use the facility only for the time that is specified in your Reservation Application Form. A one-hour personal set-up is allowed prior to the start of your event (for rentals on an hourly basis only). Rentals are for a minimum of two (2) hours. Rentals beyond five hours is considered as an all-day rental. All-day rentals begin at 8:00 AM. Please consider when making your reservation, especially if you’re using event-planners, caterers, etc.
Rental Rates
Hourly Rental
Up to 5 hours $75.00 per hour
Full-Day Rental $500.00
Fundraisers – All fundraisers functions require a minimum full-day rental. Fundraisers to benefit the capital improvement efforts of Mill Point are exempt from rental fees.
Ten (10) one-day guest cards are included for admission to the beach area with rentals.
Security Deposit
The security deposit is one-hundred dollars ($100.00). The $100.00 must accompany your registration form. At the conclusion of your event, the security deposit will be refunded in full via U.S. mail within ten (10) business days, if there are no damages to the facility, and that the property owners occupies the facility for only the contracted time.
If your event results in additional clean-up fees charged to the Clubhouse, the additional fees will be deducted from the security deposit before a refund is rendered.
Payments
Payments will only be accepted in personal checks or money order. Make check/money orders payable to: Mill Point Improvement Association, Inc. (MPIA, Inc.). Please write the date of your event in the memo section of your check or money order. Payments may be mailed to MPIA, P.O. Box 277, Chaptico, MD 20621.
Cancellations
You may cancel your reservation 30 days or more in advance of your reservation date with full refund of all monies.
You will forfeit your security deposit if you cancel your reservation ten (10) days prior to your reservation date. However, your full rental fee will be refunded.
Access
The renter will receive the Clubhouse keys for their rental time. If the keys are lost or not returned, the renter will be responsible for paying all charges incurred in changing locks on exterior doors to the Clubhouse.
Special Note:
The MPIA Board has the right to revoke the rental privileges of all renters who fail to adhere to all of these rules and regulations. In addition, to the right to adjust these rules and regulations as needed without notice.
